UWS Well Represented in UMAC Player of the Week Honors for Volleyball & Soccer

The first UMAC conference weekly awards were announced Tuesday morning.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The first UMAC conference weekly awards were announced Tuesday morning and plenty of UW-Superior athletes were recognized.

The Yellowjackets picked up two of the three volleyball honors with Colleen Claude winning setter of the week and Jenna Anderson winning defensive athlete of the week.

Claude had 101 assists while Anderson had 100 digs this past weekend.

The UWS success continued in men’s and women’s soccer where Alex Paredes won defensive athlete of the week and Brynne Crystal won offensive athlete of the week.

Paredes had a shutout in his season debut and Crystal had the game-winning goal in UWS’ contest against UW-River Falls.
