Yellowjackets Return to Class for Fall Semester
SUPERIOR, Wis.– Today class is back in session for the Yellowjackets.
The coffee shop is brewing, pool is being played, and tabling has begun! UW Superior welcomed back students today for their first day.
It’s a great way for everyone to get to know their peers outside of class. A senior said, the warm welcome eases the back-to-school jitters!
“It’s always good to have stuff like this, because it’s nice to see familiar faces. And know you’re not alone on the first day.” said student Sara Vindel
Whether you’re a freshman, or a senior, getting involved in student life is something everybody should take advantage of.
“Definitely don’t be afraid to get involved. It’s really easy when you’re new on campus to you know, sit in the residence hall because you’re comfortable in your own space.” explained Brody Stocker, Westman Arena Facility Manager. “But I say go out and get involved with things if they look interesting to you. It’s a great way to you know, connect with people with like-minded hobbies and all that.”
Another piece of advice given to students was to plan out a schedule and map out a to-do list for tasks.
