Giant Garage Sale Benefits Carlton Hockey Association

CARLTON, Minn. — A giant garage sale is being held in Carlton this weekend, all proceeds going towards a good cause.

The Carlton Hockey Association organizing this sale at the Four Seasons Sports Complex. Funds will be used for hockey equipment for kids, after school programs, and helping keep the rink open. The organization collected items all summer long from community members. A volunteer says the rink is used all year round.

“We use it for benefits, for the community members. Last year we had one of the community members in Wrenshall got hurt and we were able to donate this space to her family to raise money for her. But yeah, this building means a lot to this small town, and it provides so much for these kids and adults too,” said Danielle Rychlak, volunteer for Carlton Hockey Association.

The giant garage sale will take place again Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
