SUPERIOR, Wis.– A press conference highlighting the importance of small business communities took place in Superior today.

Earlier this week, the Harris and Walz campaign announced a ten-fold increase proposal in the small business tax deduction for startup costs.
They hope this plan will be a game changer for entrepreneurs with dreams of starting up a business of their own.
Business owners could receive up to $50,000 to help start up them up.
Superior Mayor Jim Paine says, if Harris and Walz take the White House, it will be a lot easier for him to invest in community businesses.

“I don’t support business, I support people. And small businesses are people. Those are entrepreneurs. Those are folks that have made or left the workforce to risk everything to be their own boss. To make their lives better. And doing it to make our community better.” said Mayor Paine.

Superior wasn’t the only stop for this campaign event.
Officials from Eau Claire, Green Bay, and Merrill Wisconsin also shed light on this topic as well.
