Thursday Evening Northland Forecast: 9/12/2024

Fantastic Friday

Every day this week has been a meteorological treat! It’s been partly to mostly sunny all week long, with above normal temps in the 70s and 80s. And, as a bonus, for most of the week, the dew points have been very comfortable, too. It would be hard to plan a week more perfect than this has been. Now that we are getting closer to the weekend, we are looking at a chance for rain this weekend. I know that timing isn’t necessarily favorable, but it should be short-lived, and certainly won’t mess up the whole weekend at all.

Friday will be mainly dominated by high pressure. After some morning fog burns away, we will again see mostly sunny skies, with east winds getting a little strong in the afternoon, and a high about 76 degrees. The normal high for tomorrow is 68. So, a great way to end the work week. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 58. On Saturday, our chance for afternoon rain is now up to 50%. I don’t expect a whole lot of rain. A quarter inch seems likely, and mainly after the noon hour. By Saturday evening, the rain is out of here, and the skies will begin to clear. Sunday looks very nice again, as sunshine will rule, with a high of 74. And next week, we go into the last week of summer, planning for more sunshine, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. A nice way to end Summer 2024.

So, enjoy Friday and the weekend. Except for a little bit of needed rain on Saturday, it will be a nice way to end the work week!
