Troop 221 Boy Scout Trailer Stolen, Missing Since Saturday
SUPERIOR, Wis. — The search is on for a stolen trailer filled with equipment belonging to a Boy Scout troop in Superior.
This is a surveillance photo of the get-away pick-up truck that stole the trailer. It happened around 8:15 Saturday night in the parking lot of United Presbyterian Church off North 28th Street. On Wednesday, the scouts were holding a recruitment event at the Superior Middle School. They say they hope to get the trailer back before their big camping trip in just a few weeks.
“It affects us a lot, because in two weeks, we have a camp out, and all of our tents are in there. Thankfully, me and Finn forgot to bring the totes into the camper or into the trailer. So now we have, we still have all the cooking supplies, but we have no tents. We don’t have water barrel. And if I was right in front of them, I’d just say, ask where I’m gonna give it back. We are really affected by it. I heard about it earlier, and we really need that trailer a lot,” said Jonah, Adrien, Finnley, Troop 221.
And if the thief happens to be watching this newsroom there’s something these scouts would like to say.
“Give us our trailer back. Man, on our trailer back. I want to go camping,” said the scouts.
The trailer itself is labeled, so if you happen to see it, please give police or the Troop 221 a call.
