Chisholm Police Investigate Home Invasion, Possible Shooting

CHISHOLM, Minn.  – Chisholm police are investigating a possible shooting that occurred during a home invasion.

The incident was reported around 8:30 p.m. Saturday during an altercation with some armed suspects.

Police said two people were forcibly entered a residence on the 400 block of Central Avenue South.

One of the suspects had a handgun and the other had a kitchen-style knife, according to a news release.

The suspects demanded prescription medications from the victim.  A struggle later unfolded, which is when the victim heard what they believed to be at least two gunshots, according to police.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspects took off.

Chisholm police believe it was an isolated event with no “immediate danger” to the public.
