Longtime Duluth Gas Station to Close on Friday

DULUTH, Minn. — A long-time gas station in Duluth is closing down after being open for close to 50 years.

Officials at 4th Street Express were recently informed that their gas station equipment has aged. Tanks will need to be replaced and the investments for the replacements are not worth it. Because of this, the business will be closing their doors Friday night at 6. And as of Monday, the station is now out of gas. The manager tells Fox 21 the same people have been coming here for years and that it has been a pleasure serving the community and that repair shop next door will remain open.
