Sun Country To Bring Back Direct Flights From Duluth To Fort Myers
DULUTH, Minn. — Sun Country Airlines is returning to the Duluth International Airport with direct flights to Fort Myers, Florida this winter.
The direct service will begin January 31 and operate on Mondays and Fridays. Flights will depart DLH at 7 p.m. and arriving at RSW at 11:35 p.m., and departing RSW at 3:05 p.m. and arriving at DLH at 5:50 p.m.
“This schedule is designed to provide travelers with optimal flexibility and seamless connections between the popular leisure destination of Fort Myers, Florida,” according to a new release.
DLH Exec. Dir. Tom Werner said it’s all about the community creating the demand to get to Southwest Florida during the colder months.
“We are excited to welcome Sun Country back with this direct route to Fort Myers, which has been a favorite among leisure travelers for its convenience” Werner said. “If the route is to expand its season in Duluth going forward, we as a community must demonstrate demand to do so.”
This is Sun Country’s fourth year providing the direct flights to Florida.
