Duluth’s Best Bread Superior Location Needs Business

DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth’s Best Bread expanded to Superior back in May, and they say business has been less than ideal.

With the recent expansion, Duluth’s Best Bread is excited to now have a shop in Superior on Tower Avenue. That being said, business has steadily been dropping at this location. The plan for now is for them to stay around and continue serving the community. However, staff is hoping for folks to make the shop part of their routine.

“We wanted to make it conscious to people that they are making a choice to go or not go. We’d love to have you; we’d love to be in Superior. But really, it’s going to be contingent,” said Robert Lillegard, co-owner of Duluth’s Best Bread. “Downtown’s booming, Lincoln Park is good, yeah it’s just an equation, everybody just has to weigh.”

Staff says that for the first couple of weeks they were selling out on products. Since then, they have made some changes and have a fuller variety of options for baked goods.
