Jurassic Quest Takes Over the DECC
DULUTH, Minn. — Life finds a way, and this weekend, it’s found its way to the DECC!
A herd of life-like moving and roaring Dinosaurs has been brought to town by Jurassic Quest. Families can learn all about different types of dinos, learn to become an amateur dinosaur trainer, go on themed rides and attractions, participate in a fossil dig, and much more.
“So, shockingly, a lot of the time kids will know things that the parents don’t know. So, in many ways its actually very humbling to see the kids become the teachers in a lot of cases. Because sometimes there are things parents can’t even pronounce but the kids know everything about them,” said Brainy Beth, Dinosaur Trainer at Jurassic Quest. “Paleontology is actually something of a gateway science. So, you start off with a love of dinosaurs right, but then you get into things like geology, you have oceanography, we’ve got different things regarding geography, biology, and so much more.”
They are open from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They do recommend that you purchase tickets in advance. Admission is free for kids under 2.
