Multiple Injuries After Vehicle Struck Participants at Event in Hackensack
HACKENSACK, Minn. — Multiple people were injured on Saturday after a vehicle struck them and a tent at an event in downtown Hackensack.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says at 3:37 p.m. a report came in of an 80-year-old man attempting to park his Honda Pilot. Authorities say he exited the vehicle, and it continued to move away from the parking spot. The man tried to get back into the car, but it kept going and struck 4 adults who were participating at the Annual Hackensack, MN Chainsaw Carving Event.
Three of the adults were treated for minor injuries and one was brought to a Duluth hospital for serious injuries.
Authorities say alcohol is not a factor and the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
