Calumet: Two People Hospitalized With Gunshot Wounds, Three In Custody

CALUMET, Minn. — Two people are in the hospital with gunshot wounds and three suspects are in custody as a result.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office says in the early hours on Monday officers responded to a shooting incident in Calumet. Two people sustained gunshot wounds and were brought to hospitals in Grand Rapids and Duluth. Three people were arrested, and the firearm used has been recovered.

Authorities say they are working to gather more information.

This is an active and ongoing investigation and there is no threat to the public at this time.
