One Dead in Superior Shooting; Suspect Arrested in Iron River, WI

SUPERIOR, WI. — One person is in custody after a fatal shooting on the evening of Sunday, October 6, in Superior.

According to a press release, Superior Police responded to a disturbance on Ogden Avenue around 9:20 PM.

A caller reported seeing a man they knew walking near their garage and shining a flashlight into the windows.

When officers approached the scene, they heard multiple gunshots. At the garage, they found the caller trying to assist the injured man; he later died onsite.

The suspect fled before officers reached the scene. He was arrested hours later at a residence in Iron River, Wisconsin.

Authorities stated that this was an isolated incident and posed no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
