Duluth Church Organizes Relief For Hurricane Helene Victims

DULUTH, Minn. — A church in Duluth is stepping up to help clean-up efforts and disaster relief from Hurricane Helene.

Eastridge Community Church has organized a donation drive for the victims of Helene. They’ve set up drop off sites around town for items like non-perishable food, water, hygiene products, baby care, pet food, and anything else that’s necessary for those who’ve lost everything. All of the items will be delivered directly to victims in need.

“So, we had somebody from the church that this really laid on their heart to organize something and so we decided to partner with Challenge Duluth it’s called,” said Tom Asbury, Senior Pastor. “And what we decided to do was place trailers all over the city. So, there’s gonna be one here, one at firestone by the mall, one at Kivi Brothers, and also one at Pike Lake Golf Club. And Kivi Brothers has donated their time and semi-trailers, and they are gonna take it down to western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.”

For a full list of the items being collected, as well as the available times and days for donation drop-offs check out the church’s website. Donations are being accepted until Oct 20th.
