Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 10/11/2024
A Cool & Wet Weekend
Yesterday was magnificent, as it was sunny and 75 degrees. Not bad for October 10th. But, we did pretty well today, too, with more sunshine and a high of 66. Keep in mind, the average high for today is only 55. While we aren’t close to any records (temps in the 80s), it could be a lot colder in the first couple of weeks of October. This weekend, we will drop down closer to the norm, with highs in the 50s. And, even more important, we might finally get some decent rainfall, with good chances for precip both Saturday night, and much of the day on Sunday. We are down more than 3″ for the year, so a good soaking rain would sure be beneficial right about now.
On Monday, we will have our coolest day in months, as our high is only predicted to be 48 degrees. I can’t remember the last time we were that far below the normal high temp for the day. We will bounce back up pretty quickly, as highs will be back in the low 60s by Thursday. I’m sure it won’t be long before there’s a chance for flurries in the forecast. But not yet. Not this weekend, anyway. Maybe we should start taking bets on if we’ll have any snow by Halloween. Sounds scary, eh?!
Have a great weekend!
