Cooler With A Chance For Rain
While it’s hard to complain about the fantastic summer and fall we’ve had this year, we could really use a good day or two of rain. We are more than 3″ below average for the year, and we’ve had a really dry August, September and October. Fortunately, we might just get a little precipitation this weekend. And, it’s still in the form of rain, not snow. Our best chance for rain will be from Saturday evening through much of Sunday. Amounts could be as little as a tenth of an inch, to possibly a half inch. The more, the better!
After the rain moves thru the region, a massive area of high pressure will slide down from Canada. It will bring much cooler temperatures with it for a couple days. Our high on Monday will only get up to 48 degrees. That’s going to be a shock to our systems after our high of 75 yesterday! But, we will slowly warm back up as the week goes on, as we’ll be back into the 60’s by Wednesday. Again, our average high for today is 55 degrees, so we can’t complain too much.
We are definitely into the time of the year where we could suddenly dip into the 20’s overnight, and any chance of precip could be the fluffy white stuff, instead of rain. While it hasn’t happened yet, it’s just a matter of time. And really, the first snowfall of the year still makes me feel like a kid again. And, that’s kind of fun. Have a great weekend!
