Mayor Nominates Deputy Attorney to Lead City Office
DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth’s Mayor has selected his choice to replace City Attorney Jessica Fralich after she was appointed to serve as a judge for the Sixth Judicial District.
A press release from the city announced that the current Deputy City Attorney, Terri Lehr, is Mayor Roger Reinert’s nomination to lead the City Attorney’s office, following Fralich’s departure. In selecting Lehr, Mayor Reinert highlighted her diverse legal experience and her 22 years of service in the City Attorney’s Office. Lehr’s nomination now goes to the City Council for approval, the Council will vote on her nomination at their meeting on October 28th.
The nomination comes after Governor Tim Walz announced on Monday, that he would appoint current City Attorney Jessica Fralich, to serve on the bench for the Sixth Judicial District.
