Behind the Scenes Look at Haunted Ship VIP Experience
DULUTH, Minn. — Last year a VIP experience was added to the Haunted Ship, and with its success it returns for another year.
“My favorite part is just interacting with the guests and bringing them on board and being creepy and just attacking their senses when they don’t expect it,” said the ghost of Lady Irvin.
VIP treatment includes the regular scaring experience, front-of-the-line access, cocktails, plus a tour up to the pilothouse of the William A. Irvin.
“The pilot house, which is just the most exclusive part of the boat. You can take the helm, ring the bell, summon the dead,” said Lady Irvin. “The VIP tour is completely wonderful and exclusive. You purchase your ticket, you come and join me for a little fun, dancing party. Minerva will be expecting you when you get on board. She loves to have guests.”
Fox 21’s Dan Hanger was a guest actor Friday night and hopped in the makeup chair to take on the role of the captain of the Haunted Ship, as a part of the VIP experience.
You can also take part in the behind-the-scenes, volunteers are welcome for acting, make-up and costume design.
On busy nights, the ghostly attraction brings in thousands of people, some yearly visitors and many first timers.
“I think it’s going to be really-really fun, I’m hoping at least and I think it will be really cool. I’ve seen some of the actors already, the ones that are walking around outside, they look really cool, so I’m excited to see what other scary actors are in there,” said Haunted Ship attendee Samantha Kietzke.
The fright on the Haunted Ship will continue until Halloween night.
