Stepan Promoted to Lead NAHL Wilderness, Johnson Picked as Next NA3HL Wilderness Coach

Stepan replaces Colten St. Clair, who took the head coaching job with the Omaha Lancers.

CLOQUET, Minn.- It was announced last week that Wilderness head coach Colten St. Clair resigned to take the same position with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL.

Now, the Cloquet-based squad has circled in their next head coach.

Monday, the Wilderness promoted NA3HL head coach Zach Stepan to the NAHL team.

Through eight games, he led the team to a 4-4 overall record.

Taking over for Stepan in the NA3HL is former Rock Ridge Head Coach Ben Johnson.

Johnson had been serving as an assistant coach for the team.

Stepan’s debut is set for October 24th against Chippewa.

Johnson’s is October 18th versus Alexandria.
