Esko High School Hosts Fall Career Fest

ESKO, Minn.– With MEA weekend right around the corner, Esko High School had a day filled with stories, advice, and insight into potential careers!

Eleventh graders are able to make personal connections with 22 different members of the work force.
Ranging from service members in the National Guard, healthcare workers, employees from Cirrus Aircraft as well as some musicians.  Our own reporter Emily Halling also participated in this event. Giving their two cents on what it means to do their job.
An Esko teacher told Fox 21, the career fair is important to get a glimpse into life graduation.

“It’s just really important for them to hear from different careers, some that they didn’t even know existed. Or didn’t even know they were interested in. It’s kind of a, you don’t know what you don’t know. It’s a thing I use a lot in my classrooms,” said Jennifer Hoffmann, the fall career fest coordinator.

In addition, a few of the people providing wisdom to the high school juniors were Esko alumni.

Because of the success from this event, Esko is already looking forward to next year’s fall career fest!
