Hibbing Inmate Escapes, Back in Custody After Extensive Search
HIBBING, Minn. — A Hibbing inmate is back in custody after an extensive search took place.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says Laron Lyndell Brown went to the Fairview Range Medical Center after telling staff he had chest pains.
When he was cleared to return to the St. Louis County Jail in Hibbing, he escaped on foot.
Authorities say a search effort was conducted, and Brown was taken back into custody at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Brown was originally in custody for felony domestic assault by strangulation. He was being held on a $100,000.00 bail.
Authorities say additional charges for the escape are pending.
