The Great Pumpkin Train is Back in Town!
DULUTH, Minn. — The pumpkin train is back in town at the North Shore Scenic Railroad!
This weekend people can hop aboard the Great Pumpkin Train and take a trip to a pumpkin patch. When there you can explore and of course pick up the perfect jack-o-lantern pumpkin.
The fall fun doesn’t stop at there, back at Depot there is activities and snacks. You can even tour the Lake Superior Railroad Museum.
“If you are at the pumpkin patch and you are getting off the train first, don’t run straight for the pumpkins. Turn around, look back at the people coming off, and then look down at the kids and watch their faces just explode with joy when they see all of these pumpkins spread out across the field. It’s magical,” said Ken Buehler, Executive Director of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum.
The pumpkin train takes runs on MEA weekend each year, making it the perfect annual fall tradition for many families.
“This is kind of a tradition we’ve done every year, where we come out on the pumpkin train, they talk about it all year long, about, hey you guys remember when we went on the pumpkin train and got a pumpkin,” said train passenger Sam Oman. “So they sure love it to come out here and get their pumpkin.”
The train runs until Sunday, October 20. The rides are about 90 minutes total.
Tickets are available online, and they do sell fast.
