DULUTH, Minn. — What better way to get into the fall mood than with a cup of hot apple cider.

Spirit of the Lake Community Arts (SOLCA) hosted its annual Apple Cider Fest on Saturday.

The event was filled with all kinds of apple activities including the chance to make your own apple cider by hand. From smashing and juicing apples to heating up the cider. There was also indoor activities like arts and crafts.

A few rain showers made the fall colors brighten up in time for the festival.

“This is kind of a classic Duluth day, it’s more of what we are used to having this time of the year,” said Susanna Gaunt, SOLCA Board Member. “So, it’s making the colors pop on the leaves, which is hopefully getting people excited about the fall. But we have plenty of space inside, so people can be inside to do all of the different activities that we have going on.”

Spirit of the Lake Community Arts is an art education center and hosts frequent classes and offers rental spaces for events.
