Haunted Hawthorne in Cloquet Growing Bigger Each Year

CLOQUET, Minn. — A homemade haunt is opening its doors again this spooky season.

The Haunted Hawthorne in Cloquet has grown bigger and bigger each year, thanks to the efforts of family and friends. Fox 21 caught up with the owners and some of the cast who say, they do it for the thrill of frights and fun.

“Last year we did over a thousand people. Which is like the highest to date. So, this is like kind of when we started taking it a little more seriously. We’ve added some interactive parts to it this year. We have balloon darts where, you know, you pop a balloon, you get to pick a prize. We have popcorn that we’re giving out. I don’t think we ever thought it would quite get this big, you know? But that’s what we want is to keep growing at this point. We want everybody to know about it. We want everybody to come and enjoy it, because there’s not quite one like this around here,” said Brittany Miller, Haunted Hawthorne.

The Millers say they are eager to keep things going in memory of their late grandmother, who was played a significant role in the haunt. Now to get your tickets or and find the dates they are open; you can go to the Haunted Hawthorne Facebook page.
