Monday Morning Northland Forecast: 10/21/2024

Two Warm Days

A week ago today, we had low temps in the 30s and 20s. It felt quite fall-like. Then we warmed into the 70s by yesterday. This week will go the other way, as we will have a high near 70 today, and by Wednesday, we will cool down to 46 degrees for a high. One way or another, as we head deeper into autumn, we are gradually cooling off from the summer of 2024, which just doesn’t want to leave the area. It did make for a really nice day for a motorcycle ride yesterday. So, be sure to enjoy the warmth while it’s still here!

A low pressure system to our southwest will bring us a 40% chance for rain tomorrow, along with strong southwest winds of 25mph. The best chance for rain will be in the afternoon on Tuesday. Amounts don’t look that impressive, mainly a tenth of an inch or less. After the rain passes, we will drop all the way down to 34 degrees by Wednesday morning, and it will be quite cool and windy, with the high only reaching the mid 40s.

Thursday will be cloudy and a bit warmer, as we make it into the upper 50s. Then, high pressure moves back into the area, with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 50s for Friday thru this coming weekend. We are still almost 4″ short of where we should be for precipitation for the year. At this point, we could take that as rain or snow. It will certainly be cool enough for snow with the low temps this week. We’ll see!

Have a great Monday!
