Superior Community Carves Pumpkins at Annual Harvest Festival

SUPERIOR, Wis. — The people of Superior came together to carve on Sunday.

The Superior Community Garden Association hosting their annual Harvest Festival which included snacks, a grill out and of course pumpkin carving. They say that they hope to build a community through a shared love for growing and harvesting fresh food.

“Our motivation is to provide a space for people to garden, and for people to gather, I mean we have people that come over from the apartment building there, just to sit and relax in the garden,” said Ruth Ludwig, Treasurer of the Superior Community Garden Association. “It’s a celebration of our gardening season, and like I said for us to celebrate our harvest and invite people in, and it’s Halloween time, we carve pumpkins too to celebrate.”
