2nd Annual Workforce Solutions Series Kicks Off
DULUTH, Minn. — Workforce challenges continue to plague all types of industries across the country and here in the Northland. But there’s a push in Duluth to try to help.
Monday morning at Clyde Iron Works, around 40 employers took part in the second-annual Workforce Solutions Series. It’s a collaborative effort between the city of Duluth’s, the Duluth-Area Chamber of Commerce and Northspan, which is a business management company.
Discussions centered around hiring and retaining talent during a time of continued workforce shortages, post pandemic. And how to manage new employment trends, including remote, hybrid and flexible work models.
“We all have to work together on this. This isn’t something we can conference our way out of. We need to get together to talk about some real solutions for workforce challenges. There’s so much opportunity in this region and we’re proud to bring these events to Duluth,” said Ali Bilden Camps, a Consultant for Northspan.
The Workforce Solutions Series continues at Clyde Iron in November and December. Topics will include how to change perceptions of Duluth.
