Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 10/25/2024

A Sunny Weekend

This will be the first Saturday in the last three that we haven’t had rain to contend with. Since we are 4″ below where we should be for the year, I am all for getting as much precipitation as we can. However, if possible, I would like to have the rain fall during the week, so the weekends will stay dry and sunny. And that is exactly what this weekend is going to be. We got our rain out of the way yesterday and last night (.16″), and now high pressure will be in charge for the whole weekend. Perfect! Our average high for tomorrow is 47 degrees, and we will be just a little bit above that, with a high temp of about 52. Sunday looks very nice, too, with at least partly sunny skies, and a high of 56. Monday is even warmer, with sunshine and 65 degrees for a high.

Then, like magic, the timing is perfect, as the next cold front arrives, with rain chances for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Temps will be falling, along with the rain, as by Wednesday, our high temp will only be 49 degrees. Just a reminder that it is definitely no longer summer, and we are meandering right through the middle of autumn. And there is nothing scary about the forecast for Halloween. Right now, it looks to be partly sunny, dry, and a high of 46 degrees next Thursday. I think that will do just fine for the trick or treaters. I put up the last of our Halloween lights and decorations just yesterday, so we are ready at our place!

Have a great, sunny and dry weekend!
