Friday Morning Northland Forecast: 10/25/2024

Sunny Weekend

While we didn’t get a ton of rain in the last 24 hours, we did pick up .16″.  And when you’re down 4″ from average for the year, you’ll take whatever you can get. The combination of getting that rain, and cooler temperatures does a great job of reducing the fire danger in the area. It was just last week we had Red Flag Warnings for much of Minnesota, so conditions are a lot better now than a week ago. Our next chance for rain now is next Tuesday and Wednesday. In fact, it looks pretty rainy from Tuesday all the way into Thursday. And, temps will be even cooler next week, so that further reduces the risk of fires. It’s all good!

We hit a high temp of 61 yesterday. The normal high for today is 48 degrees. We will have above normal temps for the next several days. We won’t return to average temps til next Wednesday and Thursday. We won’t be anywhere near record temps, but our highs will be in the 50s into the mid 60s thru Tuesday. And, for Halloween next Thursday, things are looking pretty good, with party sunny skies and a high in the upper 40s. It will be just fine for trick or treating!

Have a sunny and kind of windy weekend!
