Two Dead After Two-Vehicle Crash In Britt Have Been Identified

UPDATE (October 25, 12:30 p.m.) — The two men that died after a 2-vehicle crash in Britt have been identified.

The 76-year-old driving eastbound is Frank Bertram Ratliff of Angora. The 69-year-old driver that was driving westbound is Steven Craig Shoden of Virginia.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. — Two people are dead after a 2-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Britt, Minnesota.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says just before 9 a.m. a report came in of two-vehicle crash in the 9100 block of Biss Road.

Authorities say a witness reported seeing one driver, a 76-year-old man traveling eastbound and the second driver, a 69-year-old man driving westbound. The eastbound driver drifted onto the shoulder of the road, overcorrected across the center line and struck the other man.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both driving pickups. Their names are pending family notification.

The crash is under investigation.
