Friday Morning Northland Forecast: 11/1/2024
Here's November!
And here we go. Not only are we well into autumn, but the first day of winter is only 7 weeks away. It’s November 1st, and tomorrow night, we set our clocks back an hour, meaning it will get dark really early Sunday afternoon. We had our first measurable snowfall yesterday (about 1.6″ in Duluth), and our daily temperatures are finally dropping down to where they should be, for this time of year. The average high and low for today is 45 and 29. We will be fairly close to those numbers for the next week.
After yesterday’s messy combination of rain, snow and wind, high pressure is building in quickly today. We will have partly to mostly sunny skies, with a cooler than normal high of 40 degrees. Saturday will be partly sunny and warmer, with a high of 48. On Sunday, the first of a couple low pressure systems will pass over us, bringing a very good chance for rain on Sunday and Monday. As mentioned before, we are about 4″ shy of where we should be for precipitation for the year, so it’s all a welcome sight. No matter what form it comes in!
Things will dry out again Tuesday through Thursday, with highs in the mid to upper 40s. It’s pretty typical weather for November. And once again, FALL BACK, tomorrow night!
