Halloween Party at Sweeden Sweets in Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Typically, you think of going door to door for all the delicious treats on Halloween, but earlier on Thursday Sweeden Sweets in Superior was the place to be!

They kicked off their 9th annual Halloween celebration at noon and partied until 5 p.m. All the little goblins and ghouls attending got to do some fun activities for free. They could spin the Wheel of Doom to win a prize or spin the Wheel of Beanboozle for some more daring individuals. Kids could also get creative with scary pumpkin and cookie decorating. Finally, to warm up on this chillier day, there was Hot Chocolate, Coffee, and Mystic Chai.

Parents can also join in on the fun.

“The parents like it because it’s a place that they can come. They come here year-round, a lot of people that come here, come again. And one thing is that a lot of parents are surprised when we make them spin the wheel of Doom as they enter you know. And everybody said, ‘we’re all big kids at heart anyway so,'” said Dan Klarner, owner of Sweeden Sweets.

Sweeden Sweets will host a Christmas party in the wintertime with Santa and Mrs. Claus in attendance.
