Minnesota State Football Matchups Announced
The first state tournament games begin on November 7th.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- On Saturday, the state football matchups in Minnesota were announced.
Five Northland teams are set to compete for a state title.
In 9-Player, Mountain Iron-Buhl earns the top seed and will face Stephen-Argyle Central in the quarterfinals.
That contest takes place on November 7th at Grand Rapids High School. Kickoff is at 7 PM.
Joining the Rangers in the 9-Player bracket is Cromwell-Wright, who will face Fertile-Beltrami in the quarterfinals.
The Cardinals game is at Moorhead High School on November 7th at 7 PM.
In Class A, Deer River returns to state after missing out last year.
They’ll battle Mahnomen/Waubun on November 8th at Becker High School at 7 PM.
In AA, Moose Lake/Willow River draws the 4th seed and will face top-seeded Kimball at 7 PM on November 8th in Brainerd.
Finally in AAAA, Hermantown earns the 2nd seed and will battle 3rd seeded Orono on November 7th at Alexandria. Kickoff is at 6 PM.
