17th Annual Duluth All Souls Night Takes Place
DULUTH, Minn. — The 17th Annual Duluth All Souls Night brought out hundreds to the Depot for an evening filled with remembering and grieving.
All Souls Night is modeled after Day of the Dead, a Mexican observance that honors loved ones who have passed away, and people did just that.
A ritual was held to kick of the celebrations and the sound of drums and bagpipes led a parade to the nearby library plaza where there was dancing and performances.
The event incorporates different traditions including Ofrendas, which are altars were offerings for loved ones that are being remembered.
