Clyde Iron Works Hosts Spell-Binding Event

DULUTH, Minn. — Clyde Iron Works hosted a spell-binding event this weekend with Thee Witchy Con of the North.

The convention was created with the hope of breaking stigmas over personal beliefs while also emphasizing the Pagan Community of the Northland which organizers say is currently underrepresented.

“Duluth has a huge Pagan community that’s under-served, and we really need to have a place where people can come and gather, and be themselves and not be shunned by other people, just be able to talk freely, what they believe in, we all have our own beliefs, we all have our own way of doing things, and that’s okay because everybody’s spirituality is different, and we need to be very accepting of each other, and that’s what this whole thing is about, is being accepting, no judgement, and just a sense of community,” said Sheree Meier, Queen of Everything.

The event emphasized regardless of personal politics or religion acceptance should reach to all perspectives.

“We all have to be accepting of each other, so no matter what our belief is in, whether it’s politics, whether it’s religion, whatever it is, we have to be accepting and kind to each other, and that’s the whole community sense of community and stuff, we have to be able to live with each other, with kindness and acceptance, a lot of people go around and say that we have to have religious tolerance, it’s not religious tolerance, it’s religious acceptance, we accept one another for who we are, and what we can do,” said Witch Jodi. “Both of us are strong people, that give back to the community, and try and help promote each other in the community, and that’s what it’s about, togetherness, it is, it’s the human race, we’re here to build each other up.”
