Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 11/8/2024

Friday Night Weather

Weather at this latitude often tends to go in 7-day cycles. Do you remember the last two weekends? They were both a combination of a little sun, a little cloudiness, and a little rain. And this weekend, for the third in a row, that’s exactly what we’re going to have. Tomorrow will start out dry, with at least partly sunny skies. As the day goes on, we will have an increase in clouds, and a good chance for rain as we head into the evening. That rain chance will last into Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon, we will be looking for mainly cloudy skies, but dry conditions. Perfect for watching football! The high temps both days this weekend will be in the upper 40s. By Monday, Veteran’s Day, mainly sunny skies will return with a high about 44 degrees.

Our normal high and low for today is 41 and 26. We will be above those marks this weekend, and most of next week. Starting Monday, our highs will be in the mid 40s, and our lows will be in the 20s and 30s. It looks like we will cool down to a high temp of 40 by Thursday. At some point, we will be cool enough to generate some snow when moisture moves this way. We had that little bit of snow a couple weeks ago, but snow lovers want to see a lot more than that! I just looked into a model that goes into the future 10 days, and I don’t see any snowfall coming in that time period. But, things can sure change quickly in weather, too!

Have a great weekend, and say ‘Thank you’ to a veteran on Monday, and every day!
