Friday Morning Northland Forecast: 11/8/2024
Here Comes the Weekend
The average high temp for today is 41 degrees. We will be above normal for high and low temps for at least the next six days. Not by a lot. Nowhere near record territory, but enough above average to make any precipitation we get rain, and not snow. There are two low pressure systems headed our way. One from the southwest, and the other from the northwest. Both of them will likely bring some rain. Nothing impressive, but both will be helpful to our moisture deficit.
But first, high pressure is in charge for today. We will have a sunny and mild Friday, with a high about 50 degrees. What a perfect day! Saturday will be mostly dry, with a high of 48, with rain moving in late in the day, probably after sunset. The chance for rain will continue into Sunday midday. The rest of Sunday will be cloudy, with a high also in the upper 40s. Monday and Tuesday look dry and sunny, with highs around 44. By Wednesday, the second low pressure system (from the northwest) slides on down from Canada. That too, will bring rain chances along with it. Wednesday will also be a very windy day, with a high of 45. That low is a quick mover, and it will be sunny again by Thursday, with a high in the low 40s.
Many of you are anxious for some snowfall, and I am, too! The current models look like there may be a chance for snow not this Sunday, but next Sunday. That, of course, is a long way out, and I wouldn’t bet the farm on that weather guess. Not yet, at least. Have a great weekend!
