Tuesday Morning Northland Forecast: 11/12/2024

Windy Tuesday

Yesterday, the winds were quite strong out of the NW. I remember, as the wind about took the door off my car when I opened it at a parking lot in Hermantown (where it’s always windy!). Today, it will be very breezy again, but from a different direction. As the next low pressure system heads this way from the Rockies, we will have gusty winds from the S and SE all day today, up to 25-30mph. So, this is just a reminder to hold onto your car door as you slowly open it, so you don’t put a giant ding in the car door next to you. Along with those winds, we will also have mainly sunny skies today, and a high of 44, which is higher than the average high of 39 degrees. So, it won’t feel that warm with those winds howling this way out of the SE.

The skies will cloud up overnight, and our rain chances will increase tomorrow morning, as we approach the noon hour. Most of us will see at least a little rain tomorrow, with amounts varying from .05″ to as much as .33″ to the west of the Twin Ports. We will have a high about 42 on Wednesday, and it won’t be as windy as it will be today. The low will be pretty quick moving, leaving us with cloudy skies on Thursday and a high of 45. Friday looks to be a nice way to end the workweek, with light south winds, sunny skies, and a high of 48. This will be the 4th consecutive weekend with at least a little bit of rain, as we are looking mostly cloudy on Saturday, with a chance for rain on Sunday. High temps will be in the mid-40s both days.

Enjoy your Tuesday, and hang onto that car door!
