A Thanksgiving Staple Is Back At Shamrock Pizza

SUPERIOR, Wis. — We are just a couple weeks from Thanksgiving, and for one Northland Pizza Parlor it’s their busiest time of the year.

Shamrock Pizza in Superior has been offering their Thanksgiving Pizza since 2016. The customer favorite is requested year-round, but November is the only month that hungry fans can try this creative combination for themselves.

“We would just kind of have like, what we call house by the pizza we eat here. And everybody kind of brought their leftovers in after Thanksgiving, and we would make a pizza out of it, ” said John McKone, Bar Manager. “It’s gravy base mozzarella cheese. And then it is turkey stuffing. And then we serve it with a side of cranberries. Pretty simple, but it works. We have people starting I mean, all times of the year ask us you should do, you know, a halfway to Christmas time with it or, you know, even the month October even it started. Hey, are you guys going to do a Thanksgiving pizza this week or this month? I should say so. People are requesting. Oh, absolutely. Oh, all year round, all year round. We get calls for it to start cooking turkeys to do it.”
