Wednesday Morning Northland Forecast: 11/13/2024

A Little Rain Possible

Yes, we can use the rain. We continue to have a more than 4″ deficit in the rain barrel for the year, so any contribution, in whatever form, is welcomed. While we might get a little bit of rain later today, it won’t be too impressive. The probability of rain today has been decreasing for the last two days. What looked like a 50% or 60% chance for rain today is now down to about a 30% chance for rain. And whatever rain we do get will be so light, you might not even notice. Even so, if we get .10″ of rain today, I’ll call it a victory! The average high for today is 38 degrees, and we will top out at about 43. It will continue to be kind of breezy, with SE winds 10-20. A pretty typical November day.

On Thursday, high pressure begins to build into the Northland, with partly sunny skies, and a high of 45. Friday is the day we’ve been anticipating all week, with abundant sunshine, light winds, and a well-above average high of 48. The upcoming weekend will be the 4th straight with a decent chance for measurable rain. Saturday looks cloudy and windy, and the better chance for rain will be on Sunday. Highs both days will be in the mid 40s.

I continue to keep my eyes on a potential strong low pressure system that could be here next Tuesday and Wednesday. It looks like it may bring us a decent amount of rain, or maybe even snow! I’ll keep you updated!
