First Bookstore in 17 Years Opens in Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis.– After nearly two decades, the first bookstore in Superior recently opened their doors.
The lack of bookstores in the area sparked owner Maria Lockwood to take the leap and open up Foxes and Fireflies.
The shop opened up back in October of this year and they’re located at the Superior Business Improvement building.
Foxes and Fireflies is homing in on providing a safe, comfy space for all readers.
For Lockwood, this store was something she never saw coming.
“It is amazing. It was a dream I didn’t know I had. I wanted a bookstore in superior. I didn’t expect that I would be the one to bring the bookstore to superior. And now that I have it here, I’m so happy. I come into this space, and it makes me happy,” said Maria Lockwood, Foxes and Fireflies owner.
Foxes and Fireflies also hosts book clubs every Tuesday from 5:30-7 PM.
Stay tuned for when we feature this bookstore in our upcoming knowing your neighbor segment.
