Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 11/22/2024
Mild Weekend Forecast
The average high and low temp for today is 34 and 19. All this weekend, we will be above those temps. But, starting on Monday, we will be below those numbers for the whole week. We are turning another page, as we head toward winter (which is still 29 days away). One good thing about November, so far, is that we’ve had more than average amounts of moisture. So, instead of being below our average precipitation for the year more than 4″, we are now below average by less than 3″. That’s good!
This weekend we will have high pressure in charge for all of Saturday, and about half of Sunday. For Saturday, look for partly sunny skies, light NW winds, and a high about 36 degrees. Sunday will have more clouds than sun, and will also be about 36 for a high, with NW winds 10-15. Late on Sunday, a low pressure system from the west will bring us a chance for light rain, and possibly light snow. It won’t amount to much, but it could make the roads a little slick. By Sunday night, our winds will be from the east about 10-20mph, and we’ll have a low around 27 degrees. Light snow may linger into Monday, and likely amount to an inch or less. Our high Monday will be about 32 degrees.
On Tuesday, things clear out, and cool down. Look for partly sunny skies the rest of the week, with highs falling to the mid 20s by Friday, and lows dipping down to the low teens. Yup, time to dig out the heavy winter jacket, and longjohns. Cooler air from the north is on the way!
Have a great weekend!
