UMD Men’s Basketball to Play Host for St. Louis County Basketball Classic
The Bulldogs are currently 3-0 on the year.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s basketball team is out to a hot start in their 2024-25 campaign.
The Bulldogs are currently 3-0 and will host the St. Louis County Basketball Classic over the weekend.
Through the first three games, UMD has held their opponents to a 36 percent field goal rate.
This weekend the Bulldogs will have to keep up their intensity against some tough competition.
“It has been a really good start for us, but we know the competition level is going to keep getting better and better as we go. The next three games we have here before thanksgiving, two of them are ranked,” said head coach Justin Wieck. ” These are good tests for us, these non-conference games help us get ready for our conference play. They help us hopefully have a good resume when we get to NCAA tournament time.”
The Bulldogs will face Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan University in the St. Louis County Basketball Classic.
