19th Annual Gobble Gallop

DULUTH, Minn.– For 19 years Duluth Running Company has put on the Gobble Gallop.

And this year, they had quite the turn out!

Over 1,700 runners took on the annual Thanksgiving run.

This is the largest turn out they’ve had since 2019.

The younger runners participated in the Gobble Giddy up kids run,

There was also the Tough Turkey 1 mile run, as well as the infamous gobble gallop 5k.

This is Duluth’s 3rd largest race behind Grandma’s half and full Marathon.

For some of the runners, making this a holiday tradition.

“So, the first time I did it, it was infectious. The people cheering, and the crowds and everybody having a good time. And it started to become a tradition for me. So, sometimes my son will run, sometimes all my kids will run. Today, I’m running with my nephew,” said Michelle Halling, 13-time Gobble Gallop runner.

The first runner completed the 5k race in just 15 minutes.
Every winner in each category, took home a pie instead of a medal, all to celebrate their victory!
