4th Annual Holiday Decor Sale at Boulder Lake ELC

DULUTH, Minn.– Boulder Lake is also taking advantage of holiday sales by using materials on their property.

For 4 years now, Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center has sold homemade wreathes, porch pots, and even kits to make your very own wreath.

This is the largest fundraiser for that Boulder Lake hosts every year.

They use freshly harvested material to create the products to help benefit the learning center.

“It really is a community event. That we see the same people year after year. And they just love the fun of going out, taking a hike in the woods, looking for that perfect balsam fir tree for Christmas. So, it’s a lot of bonding, a lot of good times in the woods,” said Ryan Heuffmeier, Director of Boulder Lake ELC.

The trees they use for the decor is sustainably harvested.

And they make a limited batch of wreathes and kits, to not overuse their tree supply.
