Hibbing Resident Gets a New Home for the Holidays
HIBBING, Minn.– Tis the season of giving, and for one Hibbing resident she was gifted a home to celebrate in for the holidays.
North St Louis County Habitat for Humanity was able to assist Hibbing resident Kelsie Mart gets off to a fresh start in a new home for the holidays.
She was able to help customize cabinets and shelves for her home.
Kelsie, alongside volunteers and community members worked tirelessly to help make this happen.
“Home just really means a lot. And to have a home to be in to celebrate with your family one that’s affordable, safe, energy efficient is just such a big deal,” said Nathan Thompson, Executive Director for North St Louis County Habitat for Humanity.
“Just as someone who has spent her whole adult life in an apartment, it just tells me that me and my kids will get to grow in here, and it’ll be a place we can actually call home,” said Kelsie Mart, the new homeowner.
Right now, North St Louis County Habitat for Humanity is accepting applicants who could benefit from their services.
