Superior High School Students Create and Sell Christmas Wreaths

SUPERIOR, Wis.– Superior High School Northland Academy students are getting into the holiday spirit by crafting and selling wreaths.

For the past 8 years, the Northland Program has been teaching kids all of the steps to creating wreaths.

From mapping out a harvesting plan in spring, to putting the wreaths and swag together in the winter.

The goal is to teach students life skills and a strong work ethic.

“We got this going eight years ago, it’s taken a long time to build up to this point. But now we’re starting to see, like our students are seniors in particular, that are starting to step up and show leadership and really show some skills that we’ve been trying to build,” said John Kedrowski, the Alternative Education Head for the Northland Program.

The money earned from the wreath sales goes toward ‘Northland Program’ to help fund activities and field trips.
