Duluth Salvation Army Distribution Day Begins

DULUTH, Minn.– On Tuesday, volunteers pitched in to help make Christmas happen for 740 families in the northland.

Since early November, the effort of toy drives all leads up to this big day.

Roughly eighty families an hour made their way through picking out both food, and toys to help give them a holiday they can celebrate stress free.

For this event, many volunteers make this an annual tradition.

And this year, they’re booked out on volunteers.

“There was a group that came in this morning, and they were like we look forward to this all year. It’s so great to see the volunteers that come back
year after year just because they love to see the process of the families coming and getting the Christmas joy,” said Cyndi Lewis, Community Engagement Director for Duluth Salvation Army.

At this time, the Salvation Army is still behind on funds.

Bell ringing helps funds programs, and other opportunities for the entire year.
