Arrest Made In Superior Hit-And-Run That Injured Woman Celebrating Birthday
SUPERIOR, Wis. – Superior police made an arrest Thursday in a weekend hit-and-run that seriously injured a woman.
Police said the name of the suspect will be released when formal charges are filed.
Authorities also said they recovered the suspected vehicle involved.
The call for help came in around 3:45 a.m. Saturday about the hit-and-run in the alley of TJ Champion’s Bar on the 700 block of Belknap Street. According to police, that’s where a driver hit Charlene Davey who was celebrating her 25th birthday.
Davey’s sister, Lyssa Davey, told FOX 21 the crime happened “between 11:55 p.m. and 12:15 a.m.”
According to a GoFundMe page, the vehicle backed up, rolled over Davey once before rolling over her again as the vehicle fled the scene.
Her mother told FOX 21 she suffered head trauma and is back home recovering.
